“Who cares?” Students lash out at ASUP Unwana after suspending its one month strike

Students of Akanu Ibiam Fedral Polytechnic, Unwana have lashed out at the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) Unwana Chapter, after the union “Suspended” its one month old strike.

This is coming after the union took to its Facebook page to make the announcement. They wrote: “ASUP POLYUNWANA SUSPENDS ONE MONTH OLD STRIKE
the strike embarked upon by academic staff Union of Polytechincs, Polyunwana Chapter on 1st of August, 2019 was today 4th September suspended.

Students are by this suspension urged to return to school to start full academic programmes.

It should be noted that the strike was not called off but suspended and if management fails to obey the MOA signed with ASUP, the union will have no other option than to commence industrial action without notice.”

The students who were obviously vexed over the protracted strike reacted angrily.

One student wrote:

“Who cares 😒”

Another one wrote:

“Like we care if it was called off or suspended.
Management keep fucking up, Asup keep striking, we are kinda getting use to the Jahtijahti.”
