Drama as PolyUnwana NASU allegedly gives management 21 days Ultimatum (Details)

According to unconfirmed reports, the Non Academic Staff Union Unwana Chapter has threatened a strike action if their demands are not met.

While the academic staff union of polytechnics (ASUP) Unwana chapter is yet to call off their 27 days long strike, the Non Academic Staff Union PolyUnwana chapter are preparing to embark on their own strike action.

The protracted strike action in the institution is obviously opening the doors to more unpleasant industrial actions.

The union (NASU) gave the management a 21day ultimatum to pay up owed allowances over a period of 25 months. Whlie ASUP’s owed allowances amounts to 7.5%, theirs is 5.2%.

The Polytechnic is imminently going to plunge into a period of protracted disruption to academic activities if these issues are not resolved.

However, all efforts made to reach the chapter NASU President before writing this report failed as his phone was unreachable.
