MINISTRY OF PROJECT MONITORING AND EVALUATION,
The Ebonyi State Ministry of Project Monitoring and evaluation
has recruited seasoned engineers who are to monitor and
supervise all the projects going on in the State, in order to
maintain quality, cost and time delivery with the agreed
standard and specifications.
Addressing the newly recruited engineers, the Hon.
Commissioner and head of the Ministry for Project Monitoring
and Evaluation, Chief Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali(P.NOBLE),
charged them to be dedicated to whatever assignments given
to them by the Ministry.
He added that, “quality of project delivery is paramount to the
Ministry”, stressing further that, “compromising quality of work
in any form, is not allowed no matter who is involved”.
Stating further, the Hon. Commissioner observed that every
project has a time line for delivery and contractors should
abide by the time schedule mapped out for the job.
Chief Ezeali urged them to take the job assigned to them
seriously and to represent the Ministry in all the site, adding
that the Ministry is running like a Company, where staff key
performance indicator (KPI) are monitored closely. He equally
said that he will encourage any staff that is doing well and
won’t hesitate strike out with ease those that have low Key
Performance Indicator, KPI.
The Commissioner equally decried the poor performance of
most young Engineers and graduates, frowning at a situation
where a simple test conducted for so many Engineering
graduates, only eleven of them could score above 50% and
observing that if nothing was done to arrest the situation,
many Nigerian graduates will become unemployable.
He, however, concluded by charging them to remain resolute
in the discharge of their duties.
Congratulations to the Hon. Commissioner and indeed, to the
newly recruited engineers. May God help them to succeed.
Hon. Ogbonnia Nwachi,
Media Aide to the Hon. Commissioner.
