The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) Unwana chapter, has suspended its one month strike.
This is coming after the school management and the union signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on how to resolve their issues, which was read at the floor of the congress by the congress chapter secretary.
The motion to suspend the industrial action was moved by one Dr John Ibiam who earlier moved the motion to embark on the strike and seconded by Chief Aham in an emergency congress today the 4th of September, 2019.
consequently, students are advised to resume immediately so as to start the long awaited semester.
Recall that we reported on the 1st of August, 2019 that the union embarked on an indefinite strike over non payment of Academic allowances for over 27 months.
