Tears and Pain as UI Losses One of Her Finest Lecturers
There was an unusual atmosphere around the Central Mosque of the University of Ibadan on Monday 20th June, 2022 as staff and students and other individuals within the university gathered to mourn the death of Dr Jagun Jubril Afusat.
The shocking news rocked the university community yesterday as individuals were seen trooping into the university as a result of the news.
The President of the Students’ Union Adewole Adeyinka Mascot in his condolence message stated that she was one of the finest lecturers in Veterinary Pathology. He tweeted “she will be like My Presiden sir. I lost One of the best in pathology in University of Ibadan today. Adieu Dr Jagun jubril Afusat
I love you mummie 😩😩😩😩”
Before her death, she was a senior lecturer in the faculty of Veterinary medicine with her specialisation in the areas of Clinical Pathology, Ecotoxicology and Climate change. She had over 30 publications in her area of specialization before her death
She has been since been buried according to the Islamic rites and we pray Allah provided the family with the fortitude to bear the loss.
She was born in April 14th, 1975.
