KB Club Members Paid A Courtesy Visit To UNILAG VC
Members of the KB Club, University Of Lagos’ College Of Medicine, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, today at his Senate Building office.
They were on the ground to congratulate him on the successful hosting of the 2022 NUGA Games, and to update him on their present operations and forthcoming programs, led by their President, Mr. Aiyeyemi Abimbola.
One of these programs is the STACK Conference 2022, which will bring together health experts and students from throughout the country to discuss how financial technology might revolutionize healthcare. It would also serve as a venue for youth entrepreneurship development, with participants pitching ideas related to the convergence of health care delivery and financial technology.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor praised the members of the KB Club for their outstanding volunteer work. He praised them for demonstrating the UNILAG Student Spirit by combining philanthropy, social service, and their medical education. He pledged to help their forthcoming event by donating the event venue as well as the venue for logistics. He also stated that he would personally contribute to their social service efforts.
The KB Club is a medical socio-philanthropic group made up of UNILAG College of Medicine medical students. Professor Oladapo Ashiru (OFR), one of the organization’s Grand Patrons, led a group of medical students in founding the club in 1969. Philanthropy, academic excellence, and social empowerment form the foundation of the organization.
