All public and private schools in Lagos State will reopen on Monday, April 25, 2022, according to the Lagos State Government.

This was said in a statement by Ms. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, captioned, ‘LASG public and private schools start for third term on Monday, April 25th, 2022.’
In a statement issued on Friday, Ayeni urged all owners and administrators to follow the restart instructions.
“In compliance with the Harmonized Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 session, the Ministry of Education’s Office of Education Quality Assurance thus advises all public and private schools in the State that classes will begin on Monday, April 25th, 2022.”
“According to the 2021/2022 academic calendar, the second term holiday begins on Friday, April 8th, 2022 and ends on Friday, April 22nd, 2022, while the third term begins on April 25th, 2022. “Public holidays within the period, such as Workers Day, Eid-El-Fitr, and Eid-El-Kabir, were taken into account and incorporated into the calendar,” according to the statement.
As students prepare for resumption, the Director-General recommended them to avoid all sorts of social vices, and parents should keep an eye on their children’s activities at home.
As schools reopen, proprietors and school administrators must guarantee that the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is strictly followed. As the State Government is committed to the delivery of quality education, schools must also ensure complete compliance with all safety standards on their campuses in order to create a safe learning environment,” the statement stated.
