Reactions Trails ASUU’s Demand for 1 Trillion Naira To End Strike
Several reactions have trailed the demand of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) demand of 1 Trillion Naira before they can call off the 1-month warning strike that commenced on 14 February 2022.
Several reactions on Social Media by students and well-meaning Nigerians have trailed this demand. Some take off the pressure of the strike and make a joke out of the demand, while others see it as an indicator that the strike may not be ending anytime soon based on the kind of demands the labour union is placing on the federal government.

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities is pressing on their demand for the Federal Government to honour their 2009 agreement amongst several other pressing issues that concerns university academics in Nigeria. However, since the commencement of the 1-month warning strike, several meetings and consultations have taken place between ASUU and the Federal Government with all ending in deadlock and a forced rescheduling.
However, ASUU promised earlier that this was going to be the “Mother of all Strikes” and therefore advised students and other affected individuals to brace up for impact.
