ASUU Declares One-month ‘Comprehensive and Total Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in its ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) has finally declared a four-week “comprehensive and total” strike.

The declared strike will take effect from today, Monday, 14 February, 2022.

ASUU National President Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke intimated this new development to pressmen on Monday in the University of Lagos at the conclusion of its National Executive Council(NEC) meeting of the union tagged ‘NEC for NEC.’

We are ready to resume, says ASUU

Prof Ogunyemi, who was speaking at a meeting between the Federal Government, led by the Labour Minister and ASUU leadership, led by the President, said their members are willing to resume because it is a matter of national interest.
