UI Handball Team Ripped Apart 23-11 in Pre-NUGA Warm-up Match.

It’s was a down moment full of quietness and dejection after the referee signalled full time in the handball match between UI Handers (UI Handball Team) and Oyo State Handball Team. The match occurred at the Adamasingba sport complex, Ibadan. It served as part of preparatory matches for the UI team for the Zone B preliminaries of 2022 NUGA games.

The match started at about 10 am with both teams lines out for action. With UI Handers taking the quick lead through Ethana Moses after 3 minutes but quick responses from the Oyo State team soon proved productive as the score board showed 2-1 to the home team after 8 minutes. Moses again came to the rescue at the 9th minute with the equalizer to peg the game at 2-2.

It soon began to rain goal from the home team as they ended the first half after 30 minutes leading UI Handers 10-3. After the break, both teams returned for the second half but the UI Handers took of where they left with a two goal in the second half to put the scoreline at 10-5 courtesy Ethana Moses’ individual brilliance. From then on, the Oyo State handball team switched on the Nitro and stepped on the gas and rained goals in abundance. The match ended 23-11 with the remainder of the UI Handers goals coming from Anthony Nwaiwu, Edeki Opeyemi, Akinrinola Fiyin.

The team is expected to continue to intensify her preparation towards the preliminaries which comes up later this month in U.I
