TLDS Sits, Declares Bello as Winners Amidst Chaos
The Literary and Debating Society has converged an emergency meeting and released a communiqué to the general public.
In the publication signed by the TLDS President, Ayeni Otito-Jesu states that the ambiguous marks declared after day 1 of Jaw War’21 was a result of computation error and henceforth announced the new scores of the inter hall category of the competition.
It’s states ” I write to officially address the concern about the results of the first leg of the halls category and I appreciate every concern and petition towards the betterment of the competition. There was emergence senate sitting with the chief judge of the first leg and 25 senators (President of Halls and Faculties LnDs) in attendance.”
The updated results are as follows:*Tedder 72.66% – Mellanby 70%
*Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall 73% – Sultan Bello Hall 75%
*Obafemi Awolowo 79.33% – Ransome Kuti 79.66%
*Independence Hall 70.5% – ABH 73.5%
*Queen’s Elizabeth Hall 72.33% – Idia Hall 71%
*Tedder 72.66% – Mellanby 70%
*Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall 73% – Sultan Bello Hall 75%

However, TLDS President Ayeni Otito-Jesu apologized for the initial errors and promised that such wouldn’t occur again and enjoined the Students to come out en masse to support their faculties as they face off against each other later today at NFLT.
