Breaking News: U.I Lifts Ban On Election Activities, Opens Floor For Students To Contest for S.U.G

The University of Ibadan has lifted the ban on all electoral activities of the Student’s Union government thereby declaring the start of the electioneering process to elect the new Students Union Government.

This ban was lifted on 13th September 2021 and students who are interested in vying for electoral positions in the executive or the Students Representative Council (S.R.C) can begin their electioneering process which includes declaration of intention, obtaining of forms and even campaigning.

The lifting of the ban is an official declaration of the beginning of the electioneering process to elect the members of the new government expected to take over from the Akeju-led administration that had been at the helms of running student government affairs since the reinstatement of the Student’s Union in 2019.

Interested individuals are enjoined to pick up their forms at the Room XX, Student Affairs Division.
