Covid-19 and UI Gate [With Pictures]

Hello UItes, welcome to this session of Gist-Out with Campus News, University of Ibadan.

TODAY, WE WILL BE TELLING YOU ABOUT SOME HOT PLACES ON CAMPUS AND HOW THEY HAVE BEEN DESOLATE EVER SINCE THE LOCKDOWN.
OBVIOUSLY, THESE PLACES MISS US.
LEGGO!!!!!!!!!!! SHALL WE?

UI GATE
Honestly, this is the busiest environment on campus and the most visited place because of the car park.

You would always hear voices of the cabmen shouting ‘Ajibode Ajibode’…’ Awo Idia’…’ Kuti Bello Zik’…’ Drop’ but within the onset of COVID19, this place has been desolate with few people moving to and fro.

Another noticeable difference is the presence of a washing basin and tank at the entrance of the gate for passersby to wash their hands. No nose masks, no entry even if you are in the car. Covid rules and regulations are strictly adhered to here.

Movement is obviously not like the bustle and hustle it used to be. There is also a serious monitoring of passersby at the gate. No unnecessary hawking or wandering.

What covid turned UI gate to is really serious 😒.
